This Friday, the deputies voted on the possibility for companies to buy back from their employees the days of RTT which they have given up, between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2023, up to 7,500 euros.
This Friday, the deputies had their work cut out for them in the National Assembly. After abolishing the audiovisual license fee, they voted with 154 votes in favor of the possibility for companies to buy back from employees their RTT days not taken, as had been proposed by the Republicans. This measure, in the amending finance bill, will be valid for the RTT between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2023up to a maximum limit of 7500 euros.
The Reduction of working time (RTT) allows employees whose work time is more than 35 hours per week to have days or half days of rest. But from one year to the next, these holidays disappear, if not taken by the employee. During two years, employees will therefore be able to convert their RTT not taken into net salaryin agreement with their employer.
If the right is delighted by the vote for this measure, and welcomes a measure “of purchasing power for all those who work“, on the left, MPs believe it is “eanother way to get around salary increases“. Because this measure ultimately implies a possibility of give up his RTT in exchange for remunerationwith no limit on the number of days concerned.
