Leaving this summer for Juventus in Turin on loan, Leandro Paredes is unable to convince the Italian leaders who plan to send the midfielder back to PSG next June.
With the arrivals of Vitinha, Renato Sanches, Fabian Ruiz and Carlos Soler in midfield, PSG made it clear to Paredes that he no longer had a place in the team. Luis Campos then sent the Argentine to a competitive club to continue observing him. But in a Juventus in great difficulty because of a catastrophic start to the season, Paredes is struggling to show himself in Italy. Despite the absence of Paul Pogba in midfield, the 28-year-old is barred by competition. Injured for several weeks, Paredes fell behind young Fagioli and Miretti in the midfield hierarchy. In the eyes of Massiliano Allegri, Paredes is not part of the long term at Juventus.
Juventus no longer want Paredes, neither does PSG
According to information from the Gazzetta dello Sport, Paredes is losing his place at Juventus who would not think of activating the purchase option set at 22.6 million euros, in his loan. The Old Lady is not willing to spend such a sum to afford the services of the midfielder. The former Zénit Saint-Petersburg player is expected to return to PSG at the end of the season. Unfortunately for the Argentinian international (46 caps) Luis Campos is not willing to find him a starting place at PSG. The Portuguese sporting director does not want the native of San Justo and will make sure to find a way out in Paredes. Under contract until June 2024 with the capital club, the player trained at Boca Juniors is valued at 15 million euros and the transfer to Juventus would have satisfied the Parisian leaders. But according to the Gazzetta, the conditions for exercising the purchase option are complicated, and should cause a return of the embarrassing Leandro Paredes next summer.
