What is it about ? of a accessibility kit for ultra-customizable and ready-to-use controllers, to make games more accessible to people with disabilities and allow them to play in better conditions, more easily and more comfortably.

Presentation of Project Leonardo for PS5, during CES 2023:

Developed in collaboration with accessibility specialists, but also members of the PlayStation community and game developers, accessibility kit offers you an ultra-customizable controller, according to your needs, and working “with third-party accessibility accessories“and integrating perfectly with the PS5to open up new avenues in the gaming world“.

Regarding the customization of the controller, everything is possible: varieties of analog joystick caps, keys of different shapes and sizes, distance between the analog joystick and the gamepad… Everything is adjustable for your comfort! The idea? Find the optimal configuration, but above all adapted to your strength, your motor skills and your specific physical needs, to make playing games more enjoyable.

Note that you can combine classic controller and custom controller, but also two custom controllers, to be able to play with able-bodied or other people with disabilities. And to support a host of external switches as well as third-party accessories, the controller can be expanded via four ports 3.5mm AUXallowing you to integrate switches, keys or even special joysticks.

For the moment, the controller is still under development, but will allow even more accessibility for the PS5. As for a release date, we will have to wait a little longer. At your controls!
