The producer of Indiana Jones 5 revealed that fans will be happy with the film.
Frank Marshall, one of the main producers alongside Steven Spielberg, commented on the fifth film in the Indiana Jones franchise and extolled the story (via collider).
“It’s a great story, it’s a great character, and I think you’re going to be very happy with this movie. It’s everything I think everyone wants from an Indiana Jones movie.”
The franchise was born in 1981, with Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. Marshall served as one of the film’s producers, and said that having done one more project for the saga was fantastic.
“Raiders of the Lost Ark was my favorite experience making a movie. And staying with Indy all these years has become a real pleasure. Making another one was just fantastic,” he said.
It’s not just Marshall who is happy to be in Indiana Jones 5. Actor Antonio Banderas, in an undisclosed role, revealed he was thrilled to see Harrison Ford in full costume on set.
The End of Indiana Jones
The franchise created by Steven Spielberg should come to an end with Indiana Jones 5. The director now serves as producer, leaving James Mangold to direct. Additionally, it will mark Harrison Ford’s last time in the role.
The film’s cast stars Harrison Ford, Mads Mikkelsen, Antonio Banderas, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Boyd Holbrook.
Indiana Jones 5 hits theaters on June 30, 2023.
