The parties, with two more planned for 18th and 25th May in London and 29th June at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh, come in the year of the Queen’s platinum jubilee and are a tribute to guests’ dedication. Queen Elizabeth II (96) herself will not take part in the events. This was announced by Buckingham Palace in early May. The Queen will be represented by other members of the royal family at the traditional events, which are back for the first time since 2019 after being canceled for the past two years due to the pandemic.
