Disney is developing the film Pretty Princess 3, for which the script is being written, but Anne Hathaway is not involved for now

The sources of The Hollywood Reporter they claim that lead Anne Hathaway is currently not involved, but that could change.
To write the screenplay of The Princess Diaries 3, the third chapter in the story of the heir to the throne of Genovia inspired by the books by Meg Cabot, will be Aadrita Mukerji.
The Disney team seems to be hoping to bring Anne Hathaway on board if they decide to approve the film’s production, after the actress had previously approved the idea of a possible continuation of the story.

The first Pretty Princess film had grossed $165.3 million, while the 2004 sequel, Prince Charming, Wanted had $134.7 million.
Directing both features was Garry Marshall.
The production team will include Debra Martin Chase and Melissa Stack, who wrote the scripts for The Other Woman and Godmothered.
