Hollywood star Philip Baker Hall is dead. He turned 90 years old.

It was his friend and neighbor, sports journalist Sam Farmer, who on Monday was able to share the sad news.

The cause of death has not yet been determined – however, it is known that the actor suffered from emphysema as a result of a pneumonia as a child. For the same reason, he could only film a few minutes at a time at the end of his career.

He is best known for his role in ‘Boogie Nights’ from 1997 and ‘Magnolia’, which was released two years later.

Hall leaves behind his wife, Holly Wolfle, and their two daughters, Adella and Ann.
