The Palace of Versailles, which will host the equestrian events as well as the pentathlon during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, is organizing its artistic events, to which families and under-25s are invited, until June 2023.
THE Castle of Versailles is also getting into Olympic time, just a few months from the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, where the equestrian events and the pentathlon will take place. Of February to June 2023the royal estate invites families and young adults under 25 to take part in its own olympiads, around art. Here, no swimming, fencing, horse riding, running or shooting, but plastic arts, literature, writing, architecture and music. Enough to exercise your artistic talents duringinitiation workshops !
Four highlights will allow everyone to confront their imagination with the works exhibited at Versailles, in order to celebrate the common values of sport and art. From June 23 to 25, 2023, on the occasion of the Olympic day and Paralympic, all workshops will be offered to the public and at the Orangery of the Château.
The program of this Pentathlon des Arts
From March 14 to 19: literature and writing
Poetry, public speaking, calligraphy, exquisite corpses… try out different writing processes during this artistic pentathlon while living a unique experience close to the works, in the heart of the Chimay and South attics.
From April 18 to 23: digital arts
Sound creations, artificial intelligence, augmented reality… discover the multiple possibilities of creation offered by digital tools during this pentathlon while living a unique experience to live as close as possible to the works, in the heart of the Empire rooms.
May 9 to 14: architecture and design
From the buildings to the groves, through the furniture and its ornaments… experiment with different architectural and decorative techniques during this artistic pentathlon while enjoying a unique experience in the heart of the Grand Trianon.
From June 20 to 25: music and performing arts
Dance, music, theatre, bodily expression… declaim, play, sing, dance during this artistic pentathlon while enjoying a unique experience in the heart of the Petit Trianon gardens.
The Palace of Versailles, a witness to the history of France, a stone’s throw from Paris
Located southwest of Paris, in the Yvelines, the Palace of Versailles is one of the most visited tourist sites in the region. With its 7 million visitors per year (approximately), the estate invites visitors to dive into history, that with a capital H, and into the daily life of the court between the 17th and 18th centuries.
