The end of Ozark in season four
Speaking about the cancellation, Chris Mundy confirmed that he wanted to end the story with the series still at its height. So, it seems, Ozark should cycle naturally on Netflix.
“A longer season means bigger problems for the Byrdes. I’m excited to end it with a bang. We’re happy that Netflix recognized that we needed a little more time to finalize the Byrdes story,” declared the boss.
As such, Ozark has one more reason to be compared to Breaking Bad. The famous series also ended with an end planned by the creator, which made it even more praised by fans.
In Ozark, Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) moves his family from a Chicago, Illinois suburb to the Ozarks, Missouri after a money laundering scheme goes awry.
The first three seasons of Ozark, the platform’s Breaking Bad, are now available on Netflix. The fourth and last arrives on January 21, 2022.
