Epic and full of romance, Outlander is one of the most popular series today. With 6 seasons already out – and more in the works – the British production is unlikely to come to an end anytime soon. Even so, stars of the series have already made important statements about the outcome of the story of Claire and Jamie.
“In this epic tale, a warrior and a nurse share an overwhelming passion, but 200 years separate them,” states the official synopsis for Outlander.
Based on the books by Diana Gabaldon, Outlander stars Caitriona Balfe (Belfast) and Sam Heughan (Bloodshot) as the protagonists Claire and Jamie.
Below is everything the Outlander star has revealed about the series’ conclusion; check out.
Sam Heughan Reveals Secrets About Outlander’s Ending
In Outlander, Scottish actor Sam Heughan plays the protagonist Jamie Fraser. For his performance, the heartthrob won fans all over the world.
In an interview, Sam Heughan revealed that he already knows what the outcome of Outlander will be and the fate of his character.
“Actually, Diana (Gabaldon, author of Outlander) told me how it’s all going to end. She sent me the last pages of the last book. Besides being an executive producer, I think I was the only one to see the outcome! Not even Caitriona (Balfe, Claire’s interpreter) knows what’s going to happen,” said the actor.
Asked about the content of the pages, Sam Heughan, unsurprisingly, preferred to keep the mystery.
“I swore to keep this secret,” joked the actor.
Previously, Diana Gabaldon had already revealed that the Outlander saga will come to an end with the release of the tenth book.
The first Outlander book was released in 1991. Since then, Diana Gabaldon has released 8 more works on Claire and Jamie’s story.
“Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone” (Tell the Bees I’m Gone), Outlander’s ninth book, arrived in 2022 — and made the New York Times bestseller list.
The author has already revealed that the outcome of Outlander will be set in 17th century Scotland, and that the conclusion will be “inspiring and devastating”.
“The last book will have a happy ending. However, I hope to leave readers in a puddle of tears.”
Finally, Sam Heughan also discussed his expectations for the series finale and his post-Outlander plans.
“I don’t want the series to end prematurely. I love my character! And I love that role. He changed my life. But I’m ready for new things,” revealed the actor.
The 7th season of Outlander, which will have 18 episodes, is currently being filmed. Therefore, fans will have to wait a long time to check out the unreleased chapters.
