Since last summer, OM have been very interested in the profile of Atalanta Bergamo attacking midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi.
During the last summer transfer window, Ruslan Malinovskyi was a target of Pablo Longoria at Olympique de Marseille. A potential exchange with Cengiz Ünder was in discussions between Atalanta Bergamo and OM but no agreement was ultimately reached. This does not mean that the Marseille president has definitively dropped the case in the Malinovskyi file. And as proof, the Gazzetta dello Sport reports in its edition of the day that Marseille is still interested in the 29-year-old Ukrainian attacking midfielder. A track all the more active as OM want to strengthen in this position after the departure of Gerson to Flamengo and while Amine Harit, injured in the knee, should not play again this season. Precisely, the injury of the Moroccan international will complicate the task of OM in the Malinovskyi file according to the Italian media.
Atalanta wanted Harit in exchange for Malinovskyi
While the information had not filtered out until now, the pink pages newspaper reveals that Atalanta Bergamo was very interested in a potential exchange between Ruslan Malinovskyi and Amine Harit. A scenario that fell completely into the water after the serious injury suffered by the Moroccan international during the 15th day of Ligue 1 on the lawn of AS Monaco after a harmless contact with Axel Disasi. We do not know if Pablo Longoria would have opened the door to this exchange but on the side of Atalanta, we saw Amine Harit to replace Malinovskyi. This deal definitely fell through and now it is hard to imagine how this file could materialize because according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, it is unlikely to see Marseille align with the financial demands of Atalanta in this file because the Italian club claims between 15 and 18 million euros for Malinovskyi, a fairly logical amount given the quality of the player. It’s up to Pablo Longoria to find us pulling a new magic trick out of his hat in order to tie up a file that is now badly embarked on.
