On loan since March 2021, Camilo will not be permanently transferred to Cuiaba. The Brazilian club does not wish to exercise the purchase option for the Olympique Lyonnais midfielder.
An unknown face should return to Olympique Lyonnais this winter. Following his second loan to Cuiaba, Camilo (23) will not be transferred there definitively. The Brazilian club, where the midfielder was however regularly aligned, does not wish to exercise the purchase option, announces Globoesporte. A clause allowed him to recruit the Gone permanently for around 2.9 million euros. The player under contract until 2024 will therefore take over the Rhone club, unless the management manages to find him a new way out.
Olympique Lyonnais is pleased to announce the transfer of Camilo Reijers de Oliveira for an amount of €2m, to which may be added a 20% incentive on a future transfer. 🔴🔵

Except surprise, Camilo should not integrate the plans of coach Laurent Blanc. Remember that the former talent of Ponte Preta has never played a match with the first team of Olympique Lyonnais. The Brazilian only attended the reserve team before his loan to Cuiaba in March 2021, extended for one season in January 2022. Since then, Camilo has played 78 games with two goals scored. His performances were not enough to convince the Auriverde club to exercise the purchase option. But the source adds that European clubs could be interested in his profile.
Camilo had cost 2 M€
There is no doubt that Olympique Lyonnais will do nothing to retain their player. A new loan could be accepted. Just like the final transfer of the element recruited in January 2020 for two million euros, plus 20% on a future resale in favor of Ponte Preta. We can speak of a big flop for Olympique Lyonnais, whose former sports director Juninho was probably behind this operation. Suffice to say that President Jean-Michel Aulas will not hesitate to point the finger at his ex-leader, already publicly tackled several times since his departure.
