Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensenstars of the prequel trilogy of ‘Star Wars‘, got together again during the promotion tour of the series dedicated to ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi‘.
The duo performed in ‘Star Wars: Attack of the Clones‘ (2002) and ‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith’ (2005), and reunited 16 years later to reprise their roles on the TV show.
Now, a year after the recordings, they were together in Berlin, promoting the premiere of ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ in may, 27, at Disney+.
Besides McGregor and Christensenthe tour was also attended by Moses Ingram (‘The Queen’s Gambit’), interpreter of the inquisitor Reva, and the director Deborah Chow.
Remembering that the series is set 10 years after the dramatic events of ‘Revenge of the Sith‘, when Kenobi secluded himself on Tatooine after his duel with Anakin to keep Luke and Leia hidden from his father and Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid).
Besides McGregor and Christensen, Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse return as Owen and Beru Lars, Luke Skywalker’s uncles.
The cast also has O’Shea Jackson Jr (‘Straight Outta Compton’), Rupert Friend (‘Homeland’), Sung Kang (‘Fast and furious’) Kumail Nanjiani (‘Eternal’), Indira Varma (‘Game of Thrones’), Simone Kessell (‘Reckoning’) and Benny Safdie (‘Uncut Gems’).
