Alma and Naomi. These are the names that in a couple of months will be pasted on the door of the large beachfront villa in Korsør. Side by side with Lucas and Noah.

“It’s going to be damn fun to see what the little girls look like,” says Dennis Knudsen. Totally happy at the thought that he will soon be the father of four. In three, one and zero years.

‘Four is easier to function in as a child. If there are three, I think there is always one who hangs on, “is the theory from the 58-year-old celebrity hairdresser and stylist, who has deliberately gone after having twins. And girls.

His youngest son, Noah, was only a few months old when he made the decision that should he have more children, it should be now. A decision that stemmed from the fact that his American foster mother could not have more caesareans performed. And by the way, also did not want to carry twins.

Already in the late summer of last year, Dennis Knudsen decided that if he had more children, it should be now.

“It kind of pushed it,” explains Dennis Knudsen, who found a new foster mother who was ready to give birth to twins if she became pregnant with both fertilized eggs.

“And succeeded. They got stuck in the second attempt, “says Dennis Knudsen, who had 17 eggs screened for sex at the American fertility clinic.

“Now that I am so lucky and privileged to be able to choose for myself which gender I wanted, I chose two girls.”

He jokes a bit with his choice.

‘I thought, shut up, how could it be fun with two girls who can put eye shadow and braid hair on each other. Fun to see two girls fight with what has been my whole life. “

But there is also the serious part.

‘I’m a grown man. And we have no guarantee of how long we are in life. My father was only 47 when he died. So what if I do not grow old? ”

“But if the kids have each other, they can create their own family. It is in their best interest that they get a family they can be with, “says Dennis Knudsen.

With two boys' children of three and one, respectively, 58-year-old Dennis Knudsen's life is in full swing. Now there are two must-have girls who he hopes can add something feminine to the boys' lives.

“But I also think that two boys without a mother probably have a need to also have something feminine attached to their lives. So if they get two little sisters, hopefully they can work as big sisters later, they become sensible. “

“I hope, of course, that it does not become topical. That I am allowed to grow really old, “says Dennis Knudsen, who was 55 years old when he became the father of Lucas.

In the eyes of some already a really old man.

“But it does not worry me. I have lived my life on worries, anxiety and depression, but do not bother anymore, “he says and believes that there is a higher meaning to the fact that it only happened so late in his life.

“I have been trying for 25 years to have children. And there’s been a reason I should not have them until now. I was not ready before, “says Dennis Knudsen, who was previously very busy proving that he was good enough.

Dennis Knudsen may well fear what his life would have been like if he had not had children. Here, Lucas on three gets a flight.

“It’s still cool to have the cool tasks. But that’s not where happiness is for me. That people clap at me and think that it is fantastic that Dennis Knudsen can put an eye shadow on, «he says about his new priorities.

“Had I not had children, I am not sure where my life would have taken me. I had run into that party and alcohol intoxication, had become accustomed to earning a lot of millions and firing them on food, wine and partying. “

Now there are four children to think about. Who must inherit what is to be inherited. But whose future Dennis Knudsen as a solo father has also had to think big thoughts on behalf of.

“The testament of who should do what is in place,” he says of having secured the future of his four children. Economical and practical.

For he is well aware that both his immediate family and closest friends are too old to be able to adopt the children.

‘My mother is 84, my brother five years younger than me. They will never be able to handle the children, “he admits.

Then should he go away while they are still small, he hopes they can get care in a niece.

‘My children are created in love. With blood, sweat and tears and performance anxiety. It has been hard work to create those children. But I believe that when God decides that we should succeed in getting them now, then there is a meaning to it. “
