Not real diamonds: “Bares for Rares” expert destroys all dreams

Jewelery can make a fortune when sold, and this also applies to “Bares für Rares”. However, the prerequisite for this is as clear as it is inevitable: the material must be genuine.

Simone Baumann brought an impressive gem to “Bares for Rares” and was firmly convinced that the diamonds were real gemstones. If that were the case, the teacher from Cologne could have been happy about an impressive sum of several thousand euros, but unfortunately the expert Dr. Heide Rezepa-Zabel nipped the dreams of the likeable saleswoman in the bud.

The blue stones are far too colorful to be real, according to the expert, who did a test to be sure, which confirmed her diagnosis. Simone Baumann was visibly shocked, but Dr. Heide Rezepa-Zabel at least provide a little consolation. As costume jewellery, the ring could fetch up to 500 euros. This brightened the mood of the saleswoman, who then decided to make the best of the situation and accept the merchant card. Not a bad idea, although this price could not be achieved in the end either.

Despite fake diamonds: the ring still brings 380 euros

She was just glad that anyone wanted to buy the ring at all, now that she knew about its nature. That’s why Simone Baumann didn’t have to think long when Steve Mandel offered her the highest price in the dealer room at 380 euros. After all, the saleswoman did not stand there empty-handed, despite the sobering expertise. And the sum as a consolation prize isn’t that bad either, you definitely get worse service at every lottery booth. It was completely different in these cases, as you can see in the video:

“Bares for Rares” runs on weekdays at 3:05 p.m. on ZDF, the offshoot ZDF Neo broadcasts repeats at 10:55 a.m. and at 7:20 p.m. The concept has not changed to this day. People like Simone Baumann have their exhibits evaluated by experts and then haggle over the price in the dealer’s room.
