Tom Holland has given his Spider-Man career an expiration date. Despite being offered to make 100 more Marvel films, he apparently has his eye on the role of 007.
While fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are watching the theatrical release of „Spider-Man: No Way Home“ longing for, its leading actor seems to be a step further. Tom Holland apparently has some thoughts about his future as Peter Parker / Spider-Man and has now revealed when he wants to hang up the superhero costume.

The “No Way Home” producer and former Sony Film co-chair Amy Pascal made him an offer that apparently cannot be refused. In a major feature on GQ’s Tom Holland, Pascal revealed:
“I talked to him about it, almost 100 more [Spider-Man-Filme] close. I’ll never do Spider-Man films without him. Are you kidding? “
Co-star Jacob Batalon, who plays Peter Parker’s friend Ned, revealed why Tom Holland is likely to turn down such a tempting offer: “He often talks about James Bond to be. Really often. “
A number of names are already being traded for the part of the new 007. Our video tells you who should be in the race:
Tom Holland as the new James Bond? There are two potential problems
Tom Holland has already publicly announced his interest in taking on the 007 role. In February 2021, he talked about loving playing James Bond. Eventually, however, the timing could get in the way. To give the heirs of Daniel Craig after “No Time to Die”, Holland, at present 25 years old, is most likely too young. So the role should go to another actor first. But if he has held it for as long as Daniel Craig, which was 15 years after all, the next chance Holland could be too old at the age of 40 to take over the franchise for several years.
The native Briton also has another potential problem: He may already be too well known. Those in charge of Bond actually want actors for whom 007 is the biggest role of all and not one of many. Holland may have a bad card as Spider-Man and soon to play Nathan Drake in “Uncharted”. Although that is currently a dream of the future, in ten or 15 years a lot can happen in Hollywood as well.
Although Tom Holland plans to give up his Marvel role in a couple of years, Spider-Man fans arguably needn’t worry about the character. Amy Pascal may not want to produce more films without the actor, but of course the superhero is too popular to let him dust off. However, the next Peter Parker Holland legacy may not take place, but Miles Morales is finally making his live-action debut. But that, too, is a long way off at the moment. First of all, fans can look forward to “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, which will take place on December 15, 2021 starts in German cinemas.
Peter Parker probably knows everyone. But do you still remember the names of all these Marvel characters?
