“This, it’s a real world premiere,” says Jakob Mielcke.

The TV chef is once again a judge in the cooking competition ‘MasterChef’ – but this time it’s in a completely new version.

“This is the first time we are doing ‘MasterChef – the young talents’,” explains Mielcke.

Over ten episodes, for the first time in the history of the international food format, twelve young participants aged 13 to 17 will compete for the aprons and the final trophy in the food programme.

The participants are between 13 and 17 years old. Their names are Aksel, Andrea, Ask, Celina, Gustav, Katinka, Laura, Lauritz, Nohr, Rebecka, Theodor and William.

Thus, it is also an age group above the ‘MasterChef – Junior’ special edition, which has also been made here at home, where the participants were between 8 and 13 years old.

However, the judging panel in ‘MasterChef – the young talents’ consists of quite familiar faces.

It is, as usual, Jakob Mielcke, Dak Wichangoen and Thomas Castberg – but the long-time judge Jesper Koch is not in the world premiere.

For Viaplay informs BT that, due to being busy with other TV programmes, Jesper Koch has not been able to appear as a judge in the upcoming special edition as usual.

In the past few years, the judges in 'MasterChef' have been Thomas Castberg, Jesper Koch, Jakob Mielcke and Dak Wichangoen. But in 'MasterChef - the young talents', Jesper Koch is no longer a judge.

But in return, twelve young participants stand up in the cooking competition.

They are 17-year-old Gustav from Copenhagen, 16-year-old Andrea from Albertslund, 16-year-old Ask from Skødstrup, 15-year-old Aksel from Copenhagen, 15-year-old Laura from Fredericia and 15-year-old Nohr from Ikast.

Also 14-year-old Celina from Silkeborg, 14-year-old Theodor from Hørsholm, 14-year-old Katinka from Nyborg, 14-year-old William from Greve, 14-year-old Rebecka from Nykøbing Mors and the raisin at the end of the sausage, 13-year-old Lauritz from Sorø.

The premiere date of ‘MasterChef – the young talents’ has not yet been announced – only that the program is ‘coming soon’ on Viaplay and TV3.
