In the new Netflix blockbuster “Red Notice”, in which Dwayne Johnson plays one of the protagonists, there was an allusion to “Fast & Furious 9” star Vin Diesel.
When Fast & Furious 9 hit theaters, some fans may have missed the character Luke Hobbs, played by Dwayne Johnson. The reason for his absence was a dispute with Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto), which already occurred during the filming of “Fast & Furious 8”. In the meantime, the two alpha males have calmed down more or less and even apparently buried the hatchet – until the Netflix film “Red Notice” appeared, in which Dwayne Johnson stars.

The blockbuster has a funny allusion to Vin Diesel, which the “Fast & Furious 9” star may not be so happy about. Towards the end of the film, of all things, “Deadpool” star Ryan Reynolds mentions an uncomfortable casting video by Vin Diesel, which shows the actor auditioning for a role in the musical “Cats” and does not make him look so confident.
But Johnson didn’t actually have the idea, as he himself confirmed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Rather, it was Ryan Reynolds who kept coming up on the set of “Red Notice” with improvised jokes and had the idea to allude to Vin Diesel. Johnson liked the spontaneous idea and didn’t want to withhold the joke from the audience.
In addition to a lot of humor, “Red Notice” also offers something for the eye and has some great action scenes up its sleeve. If you’re looking for more fast-paced films on Netflix, our video might help:
