According to the Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. Discovery is considering delaying Shazam! Wrath of the Gods (Shazam! 2) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (Aquaman 2), two of the upcoming DC movies.
The reason is related to the current moment of restructuring of Warner Bros. Discovery. The behind-the-scenes of these changes are being, to say the least, chaotic.
The studio made the controversial decision to cancel Batgirl, even with the feature film being practically ready.
Uncertainties remain at Warner Bros.
In addition, there is a climate of indecision about The Flash, even because of the controversies involving actor Ezra Miller.
So far, it has not been confirmed that Shazam! Wrath of the Gods (Shazam! 2) and Aquaman and the Lost Realm (Aquaman 2) will indeed be delayed, but get ready for more bombshells soon.
For now, Shazam! Fury of the Gods (Shazam! 2) remains scheduled for December 29, 2022, while Aquaman and the Lost Realm (Aquaman 2) may arrive on March 17, 2023.
