This Sunday, at the end of the afternoon, a fire broke out in a house on Chemin de la Peige in Coursan.
This summer, it is hot in the Aude. Fires are on the rise, and firefighters are in more demand than ever.
This Sunday, in Coursan, a fire broke out in a two-storey house, chemin de la Peige, on the banks of the Aude around 5 p.m. Just over twenty firefighters were dispatched to the scene, equipped with four lances. An important device which made it possible to control the fire in the space of an hour. The escalation of the disaster was thus narrowly avoided, while there is significant vegetation on the outskirts of the dwellings. The firefighters thus preserved the adjoining houses.
The origin of the fire is still unknown, but no casualties are to be deplored because the owners were not on the scene at the time.
According to information from SDIS 11 (departmental fire and rescue service), no pets were on the scene either. The residents of the street all gathered on the sidewalk, helpless and stunned, to watch the firefighters intervene from the top of their ladder, but also directly from the ground.
