National Lok Adalat News Three states agreed three year old issue resolved

Bilaspur. National Lok Adalat News: Under the banner of National Legal Services Authority, the coordination of various states was seen in the National Lok Adalat held in Chhattisgarh on Saturday. Apart from Chhattisgarh, due to mutual coordination between the officers of District Legal Services Authority of West Bengal and Odisha, a three-year-old case of theft was resolved. The officers of the Legal Services Authority of the three states remained virtual connected and discussed among themselves for an hour to resolve the matter. The applicant had registered the crime in Raigad GRP through West Bengal GRP.

In this, the applicant stated that he along with his wife was traveling from Ahmedabad to Howrah in Ahmedabad Express on 11 November 2017. Meanwhile, the lady’s purse of his wife was stolen in Raigad district. The complainant said that the purse contained documents like mobile, cash of eight thousand rupees, PAN card etc. of Infax company. During investigation, it was found that the stolen mobile is being used by Sajad Alam. The charge sheet against the accused was presented in the District Court Raigarh. Presently the case was pending in the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Raigarh Satpreet Kaur Chhabra.

The hearing was affected due to the main witness being a resident of another state and Corona. Due to the bailable sections, the Secretary, Miscellaneous Services Authority was contacted to get the matter resolved in the upcoming National Lok Adalat. On contacting the authority in West Bengal, it was found that the applicant is presently residing in Odisha. In such a situation, he was contacted through the authority of Odisha. The copy of the identity document of the applicant and the signed resignation application was immediately sent to the email of the District Legal Services Authority Raigarh. Its hard copy will be sent separately by registered post. In this case, the confiscated mobile of the applicant will also be sent by registered post to the address of the applicant.
