One of the best films with Arnold Schwarzenegger is on TV on Monday. However, this is the abridged version. We’ll tell you where to find the uncut version.
It was in the 1980s and 1990s Arnold Schwarzenegger at the peak of his career. Films like “Predator”, “True Lies” and “Terminator 2 – Judgment Day” made him one of the most popular representatives of action cinema. Because directed by the Dutch filmmaker Paul Verhoeven (“Starship Troopers”) Arnold Schwarzenegger was allowed to join in “Total Recall” embark on a somewhat different vacation trip. Since life on the moon is only reserved for the wealthy population, Quaid books a trip to the moon – with the highlight that he is on a business trip as a secret agent. But what was planned as spectacular entertainment quickly degenerates into a deadly hunt, in which Quaid and the audience ask themselves the question: Is this really happening or is this the result of the ominous travel agency?

The different cut versions of “Total Recall”
“Total Recall – The total memory” is based on the short story “Erinnerungen en gros” by Philip K. Dick and was released in German cinemas on July 26, 1990 unabridged and with an FSK rating from the age of 18. Today the film is only with one FSK release from 16 years accidentally, but since the action thriller starts in prime time, the TV version is the abridged version.
The website Cut-Reports.com compared the “Total Recall” broadcast from November 29, 2021 on Kabel Eins with the uncut version and found that the TV version was almost two minutes shorter. If you want to see the uncut version, you can rent or buy Total Recall from Amazon Prime Video. Alternatively, the title can also be streamed there with the “Filmtastic” and “Filmlegends” channels, which are available for seven days each for free can test.
