Mercato: PSG tries a risky blow to Liverpool

Reinforced during the summer transfer window, the Paris Saint-Germain midfield could welcome a new recruit in the coming months. The club of the capital is indeed announced among the courtiers of Naby Keita, soon at the end of the contract in Liverpool.

On the lookout for good deals on the transfer market, sports adviser Luis Campos may have smelled a good deal on the Liverpool side. Paris Saint-Germain would indeed be one of the suitors for Naby Keita (27). The midfielder is not, however, going through the best period of his career. Since his arrival in the summer of 2018, as part of a deal worth around 60 million euros, the Guinean has never really imposed himself under the orders of Jürgen Klopp. The former RB Leipzig player endured his manager’s choices for a long time before spending his time in the infirmary.

This season, Naby Keita has only played one game, it was during the Community Shield won against Manchester City (3-1) on July 30. Since these five short minutes disputed, the Liverpool flop has not played because of his injuries. An uncomfortable situation for its leaders as Naby Keita entered the last year of his contract. Contract extension, transfer in January, free departure next summer… For the moment, no hypothesis can be excluded.

PSG already well supplied in the middle

Journalist Neil Jones simply claims that Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus Turin and German clubs are on the lookout. The information may seem surprising regarding the champion of France. After the arrivals of Vitinha, Renato Sanches, Fabian Ruiz and Carlos Soler this summer, coach Christophe Galtier has no shortage of solutions in the midfield. And above all, the physical glitches of the Guinean international do not reassure. It would therefore be a bet certainly inexpensive, but rather risky for Paris Saint-Germain.
