Marvel star Tim Blake Nelson has been cast in Dune: Part 2, the sequel to the acclaimed 2021 film.
Nelson’s role has not yet been revealed, and his addition to the cast is late as filming for the feature film has already wrapped (via ScreenRant).
The star starred in The Incredible Hulk as the Leader, and will return as the villain in Captain America: New World Order.
He joins the already cast Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Dave Bautista, among other names.
There are not many details about the sequel directed by Denis Villeneuve, also director of Dune and known for Blade Runner 2049.
Dune: Part 2 will surprise fans of the books
Actor Javier Bardem spoke briefly about Dune: Part 2 in a Q&A at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
He revealed that he has already read the first draft, and that the film will surprise even fans of the books.
“I’ve read the new draft and I think they’ve done an amazing job putting the pieces together in a way that will blow people away,” he said. “They won’t be surprised [pelo que acontece]obviously, because they’ve read the book, but they’ll be amazed at how they’ve put it together.
“I was very emotional about it. It’s a movie that’s full, and you can feel the weight of it, and at the same time you can appreciate how spectacular it is.”
Dune: Part 2 hits theaters on November 2.
