Dune: Part 2 will surprise fans of the books

Actor Javier Bardem spoke briefly about Dune: Part 2 in a Q&A at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.

He revealed that he has already read the first draft, and that the film will surprise even fans of the books.

“I’ve read the new draft and I think they’ve done an amazing job putting the pieces together in a way that will blow people away,” he said. “They won’t be surprised [pelo que acontece]obviously, because they’ve read the book, but they’ll be amazed at how they’ve put it together.

“I was very emotional about it. It’s a movie that’s full, and you can feel the weight of it, and at the same time you can appreciate how spectacular it is.”
