“In terms of the CGI being criticized, I think it relates to our culture’s belief in its ownership of women’s bodies.”

“There is a lot of talk about the character’s body. We rely on Olympic athletes, not bodybuilders.”

“But I think if we had done the opposite, we would also have been getting criticism. I think it’s very difficult to win when it comes to women’s bodies.”

new marvel series

She-Hulk: Defender of Heroes follows the story of Jennifer Walters, Bruce Banner’s cousin, the Hulk.

Unlike what initially happened with Bruce Banner, Jennifer Walters manages to maintain control of her personality when she transforms into She-Hulk.

This allows her to continue working as a lawyer. Although a lot of people don’t know her, She-Hulk is a classic character from Marvel comics.

She-Hulk: Defender of Heroes arrives on Disney+ on August 18.
