what are its symptoms
Dengue virus serotype-2 (D-2) is known to be the most virulent strain. According to the doctor, there are four serotypes of the virus. DENV (D) 1, 2, 3 and 4. D-1 and 4 have high fever, low platelet count and body ache. In D-2, there may be rashes on the body due to internal bleeding with high fever. Bleeding (bleeding from nose, stomach, brain, gums) starts in D-3 in dengue hemorrhagic fever. Platelet count decreases. Other parts of the body including the kidney start getting affected and death also occurs.
