When ‘Manifest’ was canceled after season 3, the actor Matt Long, interpreter of Zeke Landon, was cast in the series ‘Geatway’, gives NBC.
However, the TV Line announced that the network decided not to go ahead with the production, which paved the way for Long return to the last season of ‘Manifest‘.
In an interview with the portal, the creator of the series, Jeff Rake, said that “the return of Long will allow Zeke complete his journey as originally planned.”
By the way, the initial plan was that ‘Manifest’ was completed in six seasons. But, after the cancellation, the Netflix rescued it for another cycle of just 20 episodes, divided into two parts.
Nevertheless, those 20 episodes should be enough to bring the attraction to a satisfying end.
Through Twitter, Rake commemorated the start of last season’s production by posting a behind-the-scenes image.
The recordings began last Thursday (18), in New York City.

Previously, he spoke with the THAT ONE and gave some details about the last season.
“The end of the story will not change. People who have been following our journey since the cancellation know that I was hoping that we could at least make a two-hour movie. [para encerrar a trama]. It would have been stressful and not ideal, but I would find a way to make it work.”
It completes, “As we wonder how we would end the plot with the ending we had planned in basically two episodes, getting a 20-episode order for the final season is reassuring. We had talked about doing three more seasons, so we’re going to have to do some tweaking in the next few episodes. The good news is that I’m confident that 20 episodes are enough for me to tell the story I’ve always imagined.”
