Manchester United are preparing their response to the explosive statements of Cristiano Ronaldo

“Manchester United have launched this morning (Friday morning, editor’s note), the appropriate steps to respond to the recent interview with Cristiano Ronaldo in the media. We will not make any further comments until the end of the process,” wrote the Reds. Devils in a brief statement.

In an interview with the British media TalkTV released in two parts, Ronaldo openly criticized the management of the Mancunian club but also the coach Erik ten Hag whom he accused of having deliberately provoked him.

“I have no respect for him because he shows no respect for me. I think it was a strategy on the part of the club to make me react in this way. I was very, very, very , very disappointed with the communication from Manchester United,” he said.

After the broadcast of the first part of the interview on Sunday, the club’s management had already reacted by indicating in a press release published on Monday that it “would provide an answer after the complete facts have been established”.
