Bhabanipur by-polls: Political turmoil has started again in West Bengal. The latest news is that the BJP has fielded Priyanka Tibrewal against Mamta Banerjee for the by-election in Bhawanipur assembly seat. The party has announced the names of Milan Ghosh from Samserganj and Sujit Das from Jangipur. Priyanka Tibrewal is a lawyer by profession and joined BJP in 2014. She has also been a legal advisor to BJP leader Babul Supriyo. He is considered close to Babul Supriyo and it is said that Priyanka Tibrewal joined the BJP at his behest.
However, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday filed her nomination for the by-election to Bhawanipur assembly seat. It is necessary for Mamata to win this election to remain in the assembly and retain her chair as CM. The Election Commission has announced that the by-election to the Bhawanipur assembly seat of West Bengal will be held on September 30.

Priyanka Tibrewal was born on 7 July 1981 in Kolkata. He had his early education at the Wayland Goldsmith School. Later she moved to Delhi for higher education. He graduated from DU. After this, in the year 2007, she got a law degree from Hazra Law College, subordinate to the University of Calcutta and started practicing law.
Priyanka Tibrewal started her political journey in 2015. Then he contested the ward election as a BJP candidate. However, in this election of Kolkata Municipal Council, he had to face defeat from TMC candidate Swapna Samdar. This year, he had contested from the Antley assembly election, but had to face defeat from TMC here too. Swarna Kamal Saha defeated him by 58,257 votes. The BJP has once again given him confidence.
