Khariar Road. Two motorcycles collided head-on on Sunday morning on Bhailakona-Tangopani road of Bhainsatal panchayat under Jonk police station in Nuapada district of Odisha. One person died in the accident. There three were seriously injured. The deceased has been identified as Uttam Majhi, a resident of Mudhela.
According to the information received, Mudhela village residents Uttam Majhi and Madan Majhi from a motorcycle
Tangopani was coming towards the village. On the other hand Kuren Singh Majhi (35) and Chaman Durga (27) residents of Mahtamtora village were going towards Bhalukona village.
On the way between Bhalukona and Tangopani village, both the motorcycles collided hard with each other. Due to which all four fell away from the motorcycle. In this accident, Uttam died on the spot due to serious injuries on his head. The local people admitted Madan, Kuren Singh and Chaman to Nuapada District Hospital in critical condition. Madan also suffered a serious head injury.
When his condition deteriorated in the afternoon, the doctors referred him to Burla. Treatment of Kuren Singh and Chaman is going on in the district hospital.
Leech police reached the spot after getting information about the incident and seized the body and sent it for post-mortem. Both the crashed motorcycles have also been confiscated. Police is investigating the incident in detail.
Nikhilkant met the relatives of Narayan Sahu, who died due to elephant attack in Achanakpur
Councilor Nikhilkant Sahu met the relatives of the deceased after going to the residence after the death of Narayan Sahu due to elephant attack in village Achanakpur of Sirpur area of Mahasamund district. Nikhil expressed grief over the death of Narayan Sahu. Nikhilkant said that we all are with the family of the deceased in this hour of calamity.
Narayan Sahu has two sons. The elder son works outside the village for employment and the younger son is disabled. Narayan Sahu was responsible for his family.
25 thousand was given immediately from the forest department. Under the compensation case, an amount of Rs 5 lakh 75 thousand will be deposited by the Forest Department in the bank account of Shanti Bai Sahu, wife of the deceased Narayan Sahu.
At present the amount has not arrived in the account.
Nikhilkant has demanded from the District Forest Officer that the compensation amount should be given to the victim’s family immediately and the son of the deceased should be given a job in the Forest Department. During this Shahba Rajwani, Ashish Chandrakar, Phalendra Nishad, Chhotu Yadav were present.
