Magic suit for Spider-Man in “No Way Home”: New Marvel trailer finally shows him in action

A new suit for Spidey in his next MCU appearance has already been officially confirmed by Marvel. Now, surprisingly, the next costume follows immediately.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) obviously means well with Peter Parker (Tom Holland). Because in his next adventure „Spider-Man: No Way Home“ the friendly spider from the neighborhood is given several new suits. So far we’ve only seen them in the form of merchandise items (more on that in a moment), but the new trailer finally shows us what the new costumes are capable of. Because through them Spider-Man can obviously use magic:

Hot Toys already published the first pictures of a new collectible figure in the summer of 2021, which gave us the so-called Black & Gold Suit introduce, which we now also saw in the trailer:

Several things stand out here. On the one hand, there is of course the look, which is truly impressive. The gold-black mix with a touch of red is definitely convincing, which means that Marvel fans can expect one of the coolest Spidey costumes here. In addition, Hot Toys writes that this is “One of the new suits” from “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. We could expect more, perhaps due to the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, whose appearance in the MCU film has been rumored for some time.

Spider-Man soon masters magic in the MCU

The magic upgrade for Peter Parker is no longer a rumor. Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is also known to play a role in “No Way Home” and Spidey’s suit obviously benefits from that. Already in the pictures you could see Peter Parker firing magic from his hand, clearly recognizable by the circles crisscrossed with symbols, a trademark of Doctor Strange’s magic. This style can also be seen unmistakably in the new trailer for Spider-Man’s black suit. The function of magic is still open; it could help Peter cope with the dangers of the multiverse.

We learned earlier that Spider-Man’s suit would be modified with magic. Funko POP! Figures for the new Spider-Man movie were revealed on the official website Marvel.com, leaving little doubt about Peter’s new abilities:

The blue circle on Spider-Man’s right hand and the yellow circle on his chest are also reminiscent of Doctor Strange’s magic with their symbols and design. The blue sphere is fired from the same point on the back of Spider-Man’s hand as with the Black & Gold Suit. According to Marvel, this is the Integrated Suit. We can therefore assume that Peter’s use of magic is obviously not limited to the black suit.

Spider-Man has already played through a few suits in the MCU and the new models from “No Way Home” should definitely belong to the cooler variety. The golden spider that is emblazoned on his chest on the Integrated Suit and extends from there over the shoulders to the back is definitely reminiscent of the Iron Spider suit that Peter Parker from Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) in ” Avengers: Infinity War “received and then worn accordingly in” Avengers: Endgame “. In “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, Peter developed a new suit with Stark technology, but it seems that his new costume is going back to the work of his mentor and surrogate father, which is certainly a nice gesture for fans should be.

We will probably only find out how the new Spidey suits are equipped with magic when the next MCU film starts in this country: Fortunately, fans have to wait one day less because the German theatrical release of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” was on the December 15, 2021 preferred.
