M5s split, who are the 51 deputies who followed Di Maio in the new group: from Ruocco to Castelli, Macina and Di Stefano

After the split from the 5-star Movement, Luigi Di Maio first of all he formalized the birth of the group in Montecitorio with 51 deputies. While the maneuvers are underway in the Senate and for now we are talking about 11 senators (who will need the symbol of a party that ran for elections). Meanwhile, two MEPs also left today: Daniela Rondinelli And Chiara Gemma.

Antonio Lombardo, Sicilian deputy elected with the M5s for the first time in 2018. He left the Movement in December 2020, in controversy over the resolution for the reform of the Salva-Stati fund and then joined Coraggio Italia di Giovanni Toti.

Andrea Case, elected deputy in Pozzuoli (Campania). He’s in his first term.

Gianpaolo Cassese, elected deputy in Grottaglie (Puglia). He is in his first term and is a member of the agriculture commission.

Laura Castelli, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and deputy for the second term. You are among the closest to the foreign minister. She was a member of the Conte 1 and Conte 2 governments.

Iolanda Di Stasio, deputy elected in Campania and for the first term. You are the president of the standing committee for human rights of Montecitorio.

Manlio Di Stefano, Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and Deputy for the second term in Parliament. Always very close to Luigi Di Maio, last December he was nominated by Giuseppe Conte in the “Committee for European and international relations” of the 5-star Movement.

Francesco D’Uva, deputy elected in Sicily and currently quaestor of the Chamber. He is in his second term in Parliament and was group leader in Montecitorio during the leadership of Luigi Di Maio.

Mattia Fantinati, deputy elected in Veneto and for the second term in Parliament. He is a member of the Foreign Affairs commission, where he deals in particular with cybersecurity. In 2015 his speech at the Rimini Meeting caused a sensation: it was the first speech of an M5s exponent at the Communion and Liberation meeting. He was undersecretary of public administration during the Conte 1 government.
