‘Lord of the Rings’: Season 2 of the Amazon series will have same locations as ‘Justice League’ and ‘Rocketman’

Day after day, the ambitious series ‘Lord of the Rings’, gives Amazon Studios, gets more interesting details that keep fans’ expectations up there.

Now, according to Variety, the producers are already looking for locations to shoot the second season of the work – and seem to have found two specific places: one of them the legendary Bray Film Studios, which recently served as home to the biopic. ‘Rocketman’, whose plot was centered on the iconic musician Elton John. The other will be at Bovingdon Airfield, used for the film ‘Rogue One’, from the franchise ‘Star Wars’, is for ‘Justice League’, from Zack Snyder.

J.A. Bayona (‘Jurassic World: Threatened Kingdom’) will be the executive producer alongside Belén Atienza. Charlotte Brändström e Wayne Che Yip they are part of the team of directors with Bayona.

The script is up to JD Payne e Patrick McKay. Howard Shore, composer of the original trilogy, is in talks to headline the series’ soundtrack.

It is worth remembering that the production has already been renewed for the 2nd season.

The trilogy of novels by Tolkien it was originally adapted for theaters between 2001 and 2003, winning 17 Oscar statuettes, including Best Director for Peter Jackson and Best Film 2004 for ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King’. Later, the franchise also won a trilogy prequela titled ‘O Hobbit’.
