Crown Princess Mary was taken to South Zealand on Tuesday morning.

Here, together with the Mary Foundation, she will visit Haslev Idrætsefterskole to talk to the school’s students about loneliness, insecurity and community.

BT covers the Crown Princess’ visit, and perhaps here we get a closer look at Crown Princess Mary’s thoughts about the situation with Herlufsholm boarding school, where they are currently struggling with an unhealthy culture among the students.

The Crown Prince Couple’s eldest child, Prince Christian, goes to Herlufsholm boarding school, just as it is planned that his little sister Princess Isabella will go there after the summer holidays.

However, since TV 2 aired a documentary earlier this year revealing a violent culture at the school, it has been debated whether the Crown Prince Couple’s children should continue to go to school.

Recently, a predominant part of the Danes in a YouGov survey conducted for BT thought that the children should be pulled out, but most recently, the Royal House via communications manager Lene Balleby announced that there are currently no changes to the children’s schooling.
