No second consecutive win for Limburg United in Elite Gold of the BetFirst BNXT League. The team from Hasselt lost after a nail biter in Groningen and 68-66. On Sunday there is still Landstede Hammers Zwolle against brand new cup winner Antwerp Giants. In Elite Silver, Okapi Aalst won 90-106 in Apollo Amsterdam and Liège 82-88 Basketball Academy Limburg. A 2 on 2 for both teams. On Sunday, Leuven Bears will travel to Den Helder Suns in Elite Silver.

Limburg United did not have it under the market in Groningen. After trailing 18-14, the team from Hasselt faced a 42-37 deficit halfway through the first quarter. Via Alexander Stein, the Limburgers narrowly took over the initiative in the third quarter. After three periods, a 54-54 score flickered on the scoreboard. The final quarter brought a thriller where both teams reached out for victory. In the end, Groningen kept the win via Viktor Gaddefors (11 points, 10 rebounds) and Clay Mounce (17 points and 11 rebounds) in the Netherlands.
