‘Let Me In’: Showtime Vampire Series Gets First Official Images

O EW released the first official images of the series’Let the Right One In‘, adaptation of the novel written by John Ajvide Lindqvist.

Demian Bichir (‘A Nun’) stars in the production, which still has Madison Taylor Baez, Željko Ivanek, Fernanda Andrade, Nick Stahl, Grace Gummer, Anika Noni Rose, Kevin Carroll, Ian Foreman and Jacob Buster.

After being bitten by a mysterious creature, Eleanor (Baez) and his father, Mark (bichir), are forced to live in the shadows and commit terrible acts to keep her alive. When she returns to New York, Eleanor forms a friendship that rekindles her desire to regain her humanity, even as her condition exposes her more animalistic side.

Seith Mann (‘Homeland’) will direct the pilot.

Andrew Hinderaker (‘Penny Dreadful’) will serve as showrunner for the series.

“This series will be a love letter to the original film and will also go its own way,” stated Hinderaker in a statement. “And hiring an extraordinary actor like Demián furthers our bold mission to create one of the scariest shows on television, as well as being one of the most exciting.”

The original book has already yielded two adaptations for the big screen, the Swedish ‘let her in‘ (2008) and the American ‘Let me in‘ (2010).
