Leonardo José, voice actor for Thanos and Disney villains, dies at 78 years old

Leonardo Jose, voice actor for the villain of the Avengers, Thanos, died at the age of 78, according to the Dublapedia Brasil profile, on social networks, this Thursday (11/18).

On Instagram, the profile commented: “Another sad farewell this year 2021. It’s difficult. Rest in peace, Leonardo José.”

Leonardo even dubbed villains as Frollo, from The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996), Shan Yo, de Mulan (1998), e Kron from Dinosaur (2000). His most recent activity was in the wake of Avengers: Infinite War (2018) e Completed (2019).

Recently, Leonardo discovered a diagnosis of lung cancer and his colleagues started a campaign to help with his treatment. The voice actor started his dubbing career during the 70s.

Brazilian dubbing has lost several personalities: Ana Lucia Mendes, who lent his voice to productions such as Rebelde, Teletubbies, Peppa Pig and the movie Mamma MIa!.
