OL beat Ajaccio 2-1 to get their season off to a good start. With a dashing face at eleven then worrying at ten, OL still have work to do but the essentials are safe.

The new face of OL was ready to show its full potential. The Lyonnais set off with a beating drum and put strong pressure on the Corsican goal. They were quick to find the fault. On a superb collective action, Lepenant found Lacazette who put back in the race of Tetê. The Brazilian fitted Leroy perfectly to score the first goal of the L1 season. Behind, OL drove the point home straight away. Tetê was hit a little too high in the box by Alphonse. Lacazette took charge of the penalty for his 101st goal in Ligue 1. OL were untouchable but it didn’t last.

Indeed, Anthony Lopes distinguished himself by a suicide attack on the Ajaccio striker El-Idrissy, on a harmless action. M.Bastien designated the penalty spot and excluded the Portuguese. Mangani reduced the score by beating Riou, who entered in place of Aouar. OL weren’t as dashing afterwards and felt the blow of the sentence. Less sharp offensively, the Lyonnais were endangered by the Corsicans and in particular Nouri. However, before the break, Ajaccio were also reduced to ten after Hamouma was sent off for a late intervention on Paqueta. The second half was managed somehow by Les Gones, who missed balls 3-1 with Barcola or Cherki. Not the perfect performance but, this victory, OL will not spit on it.
