Review summaries can explain this split. Critics praise Ralph Fiennes’ acting, but believe King’s Man: Inception is “confused” and has a “boring” suspense action.

Meanwhile, audiences see that the prelude film takes the franchise “in a new direction.” At the same time, the film has “all the action” that viewers expect.

With that summary, the truth is that King’s Man: The Origin promises to entertain fans of the franchise with a story that shows the origin of the organization.

More about the prelude movie King’s Man: The Origin

Based on the eponymous comic book series by Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar, the spy and comedy franchise “Kingsman” had its first film released in 2015 and is centered on an elite organization of gentleman spies.

In the new feature, the worst tyrants and criminals in history come together to cause a war that will kill millions, and a man has to race against time to stop them.

The production is set long before the events of the first film, Kingsman: Secret Service (2014), and will show the beginning of the organization’s first agency, during World War I, featuring historical figures such as Czar Nicolas II, Rasputin and Francisco Ferdinando.

King’s Man: Inception stars Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Brühl with Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance. The production is directed by Matthew Vaughn, who is also the film’s producer along with David Reid and Adam Bohling.
