Kejriwal’s advice to party leaders, said – do not pursue post ticket, work for the country

The 10th meeting of the National Council of the Aam Aadmi Party was held online due to the global pandemic. Kejriwal said, “Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh and Babasaheb Ambedkar are the two top ideals of our party. Every one of our workers has to be ready to make sacrifices like them.”

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday asked party leaders and workers not to aspire to get tickets and posts to contest elections and instead prove their worth by working for the country and society. During his online address at the party’s National Council meeting, Kejriwal said that he does not want people to recognize his party as a party like the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress. He asked your people to give up their aspirations for the post and ticket.

The Chief Minister said that seeing the way our party is running the government in Delhi, people across the country have started feeling that AAP is the only hope. Kejriwal said, “If you come to me asking for a post, it means you don’t deserve it and you have to ask for it. You should act in such a way that I have to say that you should hold this position.” The Aam Aadmi Party is focusing on Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand and Gujarat where elections are due as part of its plan to expand the party at the national level.

He said, “Anna ji used to say that politics is based on only one principle – ‘paisa’ from ‘satta’ and then ‘satta’ from ‘paisa’. Aam Aadmi Party is here to change this concept. Our aim is not to come to power on the basis of money and power. We are here for the people of this country and to keep their faith intact.” He said that AAP was formed with only one objective – ‘service, sacrifice, sacrifice’.

AAP has renewed its new National Council. Kejriwal said, “I am happy that we have successfully prepared the new National Council of Aam Aadmi Party. I hope and pray that the tenure of this council remains very fruitful and prosperous.”

Kejriwal said that the work done by the AAP government during the epidemic in Delhi is being discussed all over the world. Party leaders and workers like Delhi MLA Dilip Pandey helped people day and night. Referring to the ‘Gita’, the Delhi Chief Minister said that everyone in the society looks up to its leader. “We see what happens in other parties. Dozens of people fight for one seat, parties break up, factions are formed. We don’t want this to happen to our party. If something like this happens, the trust in our party will be lost forever.” Senior party leader and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that nation building is one of the major objectives behind the formation of AAP.

He said, “We should always keep in mind why the Aam Aadmi Party was formed. Why didn’t we join any existing party and thought of setting up AAP instead? We must constantly ask ourselves this question. Then we will be able to contribute better for the Aam Aadmi Party and the country.”
