Justin bieber, 28, took to Instagram to tell how faith in God is helping to face the problem of facial paralysis. The singer was recently diagnosed with Down syndrome. Ramsay Hunt 一 reactivation of a varicella-zoster virus infection in the facial and auditory nerve.
On the social network, he, who canceled a series of shows because of the problem, posted a long text:
“At this point in my life, I know storms come and go. Jesus continues to remind me that he is with me in the midst of them. It’s not about the storm. And yes, we are never alone and He understands,” he began.
Justin added: “I’d like to share a little bit of how I’m feeling. Each day has been a little better and through all the discomfort I have found comfort in the One who designed me and knows me,” he continued.
“I am reminded that He knows me through and through. He knows the darkest parts of me that I don’t want anyone to know, and He constantly welcomes me into His loving arms. That perspective has given me peace during this horrible storm I’m facing. I know this storm will pass, but in the meantime, JESUS IS WITH ME.”
Singer talks about paralysis
Justin Bieber shared a video on Instagram on June 10 in which he gave more details about the problem.
“Hey guys. Justin here. I just wanted to update you guys on what’s going on. Obviously, as you can see from my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt. It’s this virus that attacks the nerves in my ears and face. It caused paralysis in my face,” he began.
“As you can see, this eye of mine is not blinking, I can’t smile on this side of my face, this nostril doesn’t move… So this whole side of my face is paralyzed,” he continued.
Justin said that he decided to cancel his shows after understanding the severity of the disease:
“So for those of you who are frustrated by the cancellations of upcoming shows, I’m just physically obviously not able to pull them off. This is pretty serious, as you can see. I wish that wasn’t the case, but clearly my body is telling me I need to slow down and I hope you guys understand.”
The singer even asked his fans and admirers to put his name in their prayers:
“I’m going to use this time just to rest and relax, to get back to being 100% and then be able to do what I was born to do, but for now, I can’t. I’m going to rest so I can recover my face and go back to how I should be. I love you guys, thanks for being patient with me, I’m going to get better and I’m doing all the special exercises to get my face back to normal… it will, it just takes a while and we don’t know how long it will be, but it will be okay. I have hope, I trust God and that all of this is for a reason. I’m not sure which one it is at the moment, but in the meantime I’ll rest. And I love you. Peace…”, he finished.
