From now on you can get your own picture of Austin Butler as music legend Elvis Presley in the cinema. The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s daughter has a very clear opinion on the film.
After a cinematic monument was set for Freddie Mercury with “Bohemian Rhapsody” and Elton John with “Rocketman”, it was now time for Elvis Presley, the legendary king of rock ‘n’ roll, to get his own biopic in the cinema. Australian director Baz Luhrmann, who made a name for himself in Hollywood with films like Moulin Rouge and The Great Gatsby, has now taken on this task, and with Austin Butler (“Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood”) in the eponymous leading role brought the exciting life story of the musician to the big screen with the film “Elvis”. Also starring is two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks (“Forrest Gump”), who stars here as Colonel Parker, Elvis Presley’s seedy manager at the time.
Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis’ daughter, has of course already seen the film and was visibly touched to see her father’s life story as a film on the big screen. You can find out what she has to say about the new biopic in detail below Video.
