Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai were present during the event. After the ceremony, Devvrat and Shah congratulated Patel. After taking oath to Patel, Shah first congratulated him. BJP sources said that as per the decision of the party, only Patel took oath. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Bhupendra Patel on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
