Lance Reddick, who won the hearts of fans in John Wick, The Wire, among many other series and films, has passed away at the age of 60.
The tragic information comes from the TMZwhich cites law enforcement sources, who reported that Reddick’s body was discovered at his Studio City home on Friday morning (17th), around 9:30 am.
The cause of death is unclear at this time, but law enforcement sources tell TMZ that he appears to have died of natural causes.
The star was doing a press tour for the fourth film in the John Wick franchise – he has played Charon in every film in the franchise. Reddick was scheduled to appear next week on the Kelly Clarkson show.
Lance posted a selfie video to social media on Wednesday morning, appearing to be at home with his dogs instead of attending the New York premiere of John Wick 4. He didn’t explain why he didn’t go to the premiere.
Prior to his work on John Wick, Reddick was best known for playing Cedrick Daniels on HBO’s hit series The Wire.
The actor also had recurring roles on several other prominent series, such as Fringe, Bosch, Oz and Lost.
Lance has some unreleased projects in the works. He played the Greek god Zeus in the upcoming Disney+ series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Lance received a degree in music from the University of Rochester.
