The film Stand by me traces the journey of a group of children. During the summer of 1959, in Oregon, four boys of a dozen years old go in search of the body of a child their age, Ray Brower, who disappeared three days before, in the hope to appear in the newspapers thanks to their discovery. They will therefore embark on a journey filled with pitfalls and encounters of all kinds.

It was in June 1985 that Rob Reiner and the four boys he had chosen (out of the 300 who had auditioned) met in a hotel to play theatrical improvisation games. For a week, they did nothing but play games together, including with the writers and some of the crew.

Our image of the day therefore illustrates the cast of the film, we find from left to right Wil Wheaton who subsequently played in Star Trek: The Next Generation. There is also the late River Phoenix who died in 1993 at the age of 23. Corey Feldman meanwhile, was already known at the time since he played in The Goonies and as for Jerry O’Connell, the movie Stan by me actually mark the start of his film career.

Appointment tomorrow at 7 a.m. for a new image of the day.
