New Delhi, Sep 3 (PTI) Actress Konkona Sen Sharma, who has completed two decades in the world of cinema, says she has never been “too ambitious” and has rarely looked back in her acting journey so far. Be.

Konkona started her journey in June 2001 with the Bengali film “Ek Je Acchi Kanya”. She told PTI in an interview, “I really, don’t look back on my journey so far. I live in the present. It would not be fair to say that I am looking ahead. I’ve never been too ambitious, so I don’t look back.

He said, “Maybe at the end of my life, I’ll look back. But right now, I just want to live in the present. And I want to make my life interesting. Let’s see what else comes in my journey.

Konkona (41) has had an interesting journey so far and has featured in films like ‘Mr and Mrs Iyer’, ‘Page 3’, ‘Omkara’, ‘Life in a… Metro’, ‘Wake Up Sid’, ‘Talvar’ and ‘Lipstick’. He has also been praised for his work in films like ‘Under My Burkha’.

She said that she takes up a project only when she likes the script. “I try to do the work that I find interesting, the work that I feel I am capable of contributing something,” she said.

It was while acting in films that Konkona made her directorial debut with the 2016 film “A Death in the Gunj”. When asked about the possibility of directing again, the actress said that she is currently busy with other work.

Konkona said, “Primarily I am an actress. I have been fortunate that I have been getting some good roles. So, I kept myself busy with it. And, I have a ten year old son. So, life is quite full.”

She said, “I think directing is a difficult job… so I think when I actually need to tell a story, hopefully I will direct.”

Konkona Sen Sharma will now be seen in the Amazon Prime Video show “Mumbai Diaries” produced by filmmaker Nikkhil Advani. The show is a tribute to the heroes who saved many lives during the Mumbai terror attack.

The actress said that over the years she got several offers to act in web shows, but she chose “Mumbai Diaries” because it had the potential to thrill.

“Mumbai Diaries” begins with the emergency room of a government hospital detailing the challenges doctors face on the fateful night of November 26, 2008.

‘Mumbai Diaries’ is directed by Nikkhil Advani and Nikhil Gonsalves. The show also stars Mohit Raina, Tina Desai, Shreya Dhanwantri, Satyajit Dubey, Natasha Bharadwaj, Mrinmayi Deshpande and Prakash Belavadi. It will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 9.
