Hospitals are running out of drugs on covid: The state has bought 24 thousand doses!

Yesterday, the Central Bohemian Governor Petra Pecková (46, STAN) was the first to complain about the small stocks of bamlanivimab and regenor, two anti-coid drugs, the purchase of which is provided by the Ministry of Health. „Kurop šopa, who is responsible for ordering monoclonal antibodies for the Czech Republic? Why isn’t there enough of something that works? ”She wrote on Twitter, stating that the packaging would last for about 5 to 10 days in the region.

And they are the same in other regions. Some doctors even suspend their application from Monday. According to health spokesman Daniel Köppl, the state currently has about 9,000 benefits. “About 2,500 to 3,000 doses are consumed per week, which should be enough for the next two weeks, even with a reserve,” he told ČTK. But no one will allegedly suffer from the shortage, as the ministry has ordered supplies. “24,000 doses should arrive next week,” he added. Then the hospital pharmacies themselves should buy them.

Problem with lack of tests

It seems that the state does not even have enough tests in stock. These should be used to detect infection in children. “Two weeks ago, there were about two million tests in storage, but now the supply is getting thinner and there will be almost nothing,” he complained to Aha! future Minister of Education Petr Gazdík (47, STAN). This was also confirmed by the Minister of the Interior Jan Hamáček (42, CSSD). And why didn’t the state order more of them? “No more are ordered, as the Ministry of Health stated that the Central Crisis Staff had repeated inquiries that it did not expect to buy more by the end of the year,” Hamáček wrote on Twitter.
