It probably came as a shock to many when Justin Bieber was recently able to reveal that he has been afflicted with the rare disorder Ramsay Hunt syndrome that makes him lame in one side of his face.

Due to the illness, the star has been forced to cancel several concerts. Something that could create concern among the Danish festival-goers, who will be visiting Smukfest in August.

However, there is – by all accounts – hope ahead. In a so-called story on his Instagram profile, the world star gives an update on how things are going.

‘Every day it’s getting better,’ explains Justin Bieber.

Here the star also makes it clear that he has found solace in his religion during the course of his illness.

‘I’m reminded that he knows me inside and out. He knows the darkest parts of me that I do not want anyone to know, and he constantly welcomes me into his loving arms, ‘he writes, continuing:

‘I know this storm will pass, but in the meantime JESUS IS WITH ME.’

Should it go so far that the current improvement does not last, then the Smukfest guests will not get in vain against Bøgescenen on 3 August.

“We always have back-up plans and then we have to take it from there. We have that in general, not in relation to exactly Justin Bieber, because he is a big name, we will not hide that, «the festival’s spokesperson Søren Eskildsen has previously told BT
