Zac Efron is interested in High School Musical 4

Although his colleagues still act in films and series, it cannot be denied that Troy actor Zac Efron was the big star of the musical series. In an interview with E!News, when asked if he would be interested in a High School Musical reboot, he said:

Should High School Musical 4 come?

The fact that leading actor Zac Efron suddenly spoke out in favor of an HSM sequel is unfortunately by no means a guarantee that there will be another film. There are still no official plans in one Interview with Bang Showbiz director and producer Kenny Ortega had the idea that a sequel could be produced with new actors. Now that the original cast is settled and away from high school, a new story with them wouldn’t fit anymore. Perhaps the mouse company has had a plan for a reboot for a long time, which tells of a class reunion of Troy, Sharpay and Co.

If the original cast actually all agree to return and if Disney and Kenny Ortega see potential, an idea can certainly be cobbled together.
