Ajax will play against De Graafschap with a considerably changed base eleven on Thursday evening. John Heitinga has made at least one change in every line. Jorrel Hato and Remko Pasveer, among others, appear at the kick-off in De Vijverberg. Florian Grillitsch can also start.
Pasveer therefore defends the goal in Doetinchem and envisions a defense consisting of Jorge Sánchez, Jurriën Timber, Calvin Bassey and therefore Hato. In addition, Hato seems to take over the left back position from Owen Wijndal, while Bassey forms the heart of the defense together with Timber.
One line further, Grillitsch returns to the base. For him it is only his second starting place for Ajax, the first was in the home game with Go Ahead Eagles. Assuming the Austrian will play as number six, he will play in midfield in the back of Davy Klaassen and Mohammed Kudus.
Brobbey first base place under Heitinga; return boss
In the front, Brian Brobbey can start for the first time since Heitinga’s appointment. He is flanked on the right by Francisco Conceição, while Steven Bergwijn on the left is one of the few to keep his starting position compared to Heitinga’s regular line-up of recent weeks.
